Kampus was founded by Terence Ayres in 2010. Born and educated in England, where he worked in a professional environment in the City of London, where accent and clarity of expression were among the keys to success.

He followed this with a period working overseas, where the necessity to give people greater access to better English to improve communication developed into a passion.

As an early Internet user he realised that the almost limitless distribution that Internet offered meant that here was a way to allow students anywhere in the world access to the very best English-teaching standards available.

It was this that started the search for high-quality English Tutors “We all have fond memories of that teacher who was able to share and engage us in their passion for their subject, and this was the exceptional talent that I began to seek” .

That was, and remains the driving force behind Kampus.
